The narrators in the stories “Lamb to the Slaughter” by Roald Dahl and “The Tell-Tale Heart” by Edgar Allan Poe are similar in many ways I will be telling you how they are similar in two ways in the following paragraphs.
The second way the stories are similar is that both stories have a murder take place in their homes. In the story “Lamb to the Slaughter” it states “All right, she told herself. So I’ve killed him.” This means that she just killed him. In the story “The Tell-Tale Heart” it states In an instant I dragged him to the floor, and pulled the heavy bed over him. I then smiled gaily, to find the deed so far done.
Another way the two stories are similar is that both stories there have a investigation about the murder in their homes. In the story “Lamb to the Slaughter” it states that “First a doctor, then two detectives…” That means that the detectives came to investigate the crime. In the story “The Tell-Tale Heart” it stated,, “A shriek had been heard by a neighbor during the night; suspicion of foul play had been aroused; information had been lodged at the police office, and they (the officers) had been deputed to search the premises”. That means that the police came and investigate to make sure everything was okay.
In both stories, the narrators have many similarities. Both had deaths and investigations in their homes. In conclusion these stories were very similar after seeming very different.
